		<description>1) Twitter is not about information storage or formal training.  It is about conversation, collaboration, and community.



2) I dare somebody in the company to make a business case for the use of match.com or eharmony.com.  Interestingly, at my office, HR made a case for allowing access to Facebook.  A lot of my coworkers keep up with each other using this tool.  It is helping strengthen our work community.



3) I discussed this with a number of people and they all agree that your rejection is shortsighted.



4) Use Yammer or install and host a microsharing platform inside your network.  In my opinion, employees should still be able to connect on a personal level on the work tool (e.g. coordinate lunches, outings, sell stuff, etc.).  It is equally important to build a community as it is to collaborate and transfer knowledge using Twitter or a Twitter-like tool.</description>
