At DevLearn08 I presented this live session. But what made it even more fantabulous is that earlier in the week I attended Dave Wilkins’ session on social learning. We talked afterward and were SO on the same page. I loved his session and everything we talked about was so in line with my thoughts and experiences that I invited him to co-present at my session – on the fly. I emailed him my notes and we were off…
The session was VERY interactive. We would bring up one objection and let the audience answer. We would have a guided discussion back and forth and Dave and I would throw in our thoughts. Truly live & in-person social learning in action. Ever since then Dave and I have worked together on a number of different projects: Twitter’s Social Learning Question of the Day, the Social Learning podcast (also found on iTunes) and more. And now it continues…
Since there were only so many people there, Dave and I thought we would present this session again, but invite a much larger audience and change it up a bit.
Here is the kicker: We will present the first five objections, responding to your ideas and comments in real time. The next five objections will come from you, the attendees. Before and during our five we will have a moderator collecting your objections – the ones you are facing and struggling with right now – and we will pull the next five from those. We will go through each one and ask for your thoughts and give ours as well. We will all learn from each other. Another social learning experience in action!
